  Protect  Nature

Hello, ladies & gentlemen:

I do not stand here to earn pride and glory, but to summon the forgotten spirit deep within people’s hearts. I have seen criminal neglect cause our environmental condition to worsen over the years of my short life.

It was the responsibility for the surroundings of where lives inhabit; it was the respect for the environment that raised every creature on this planet; it was the great faith for human’s cradle, our selfless mother nature; and it was the ancient ethics toward every single life that innovated by God.

Throughout the ages of the earth’s evolving journey, no other creature attempted to rule nature.

What did humans do since the door of high technology was open while other creatures were still living naturally in the “wildness?”

We have harnessed high technology wisely enough. Humans drive cars and airplanes over land, pouring countless chemical pollutants into the ecosystems; we have traveled beyond our shores and across the earth’s hemisphere and taught people everywhere how to suck oil from under ground and to cut trees in the forests...

Ultimately, humans got wealth, power and “civilization,” and claimed to rule the world – that all of us are on a higher level than any other creature, regardless of the price that we paid: no more trees or clean water; what nature now has to offer is torrents of deserts rather than ancient forests, sewage rather than wonderful seas, and poisonous gases instead of fresh air.  “The last water on the earth shall be our tears, and the last piece of wood a dried-out human body.”

Luckily, smart people have devised an excellent solution, to make humans live better and longer – to immigrate onto another suitable planet in the universe.

Undoubtedly, we have the ability and determination to struggle like this in order to benefit our future generations. But the point is that humans are fooling themselves with the dream of ruling the earth. This miserable planet that has evolved for billions of years will now perish in less than a century!

At last, humans will abandon their destroyed homeland and live happily on another nearby planet by taking high-tech transportation.

This is such a foolish thing for us to do.  Not even uncivilized beasts would do such a thing.

God tell us, we’ve got to stop this all.

Even though I stand here and cry loudly – and even though you, gracious people, listen and agree – we do not practically prevent this tragedy from occurring.

As ordinary people, we should make some minor effort to protect the environment in our daily lives, such as saving water and power, walking instead of taking the bus, rejecting one-time-use materials, and not littering. Perhaps we can’t stop billions of cars driving, or close all those dreadful factories, yet, knowing that preserving the environment is not a matter of ability, but a matter of attitude, then doing what we can do is enough.

We can affect the people around us, as long as we constantly let our voice be heard.

The world may change, and the people must change.

Let our voice sound in the vast atmosphere; let our summon fly across the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans; let this determination rise beyond the top of the Himalayas, that:

Together We Can Make a Difference!
